Our Values
We’re a family of folks just wanting to learn about gardening, growing and preserving our own food, and sharing our successes, challenges, and (mis)adventures in agriculture with others.

Support Local Agriculture
Regardless of your idealogical leanings, having access to healthy foods that are grown within your region helps support a healthy lifestyle, reduced environmental impacts, and supports farming and ranching families. As support for local agriculture builds, so does the pressure on elected officials to develop state and local agricultural policies, programs, and strategies that improve the ability of local farms and ranches to be successful and self-sustaining.

Explore Regenerative Practices
Finally at the forefront of practices advised by academic research, regenerative agricultural practices seek to build the soil biome and local ecosystems to support greater quantities of output over a larger spectrum of food products. These practices protect natural habitats and are also in-line with the more historic practices of farmers and ranchers.

Make the Most of Your Resources
You don’t have to have a lot of land, money, or time to start experimenting with agriculture. Whether you have lots of land and have big dreams of cattle ranching, or you live in an apartment and want to learn how to grow some of your own produce, the resources are out there.

Of course, around here, it’s more of frying in the sunshine and triple-digit temperatures, but I digress…. I’m no conspiracy theorist, but the unsettled nature…
